Finding and Correcting Errors in Calculations

Finding and correcting errors within formulas is an easy way:
  1. First click on the cell that has the error Or if you dont know where the erros is click the trace precedents
  2. Next is to go to the Formulas tab
  3. Go to the Auditing group and click the Error Checking button
  4. Adialog box pops up.
  5. and it gives you options of what you want to do and you are done.

Summarizing Data That Meets Specific Conditions

Another use that use formulas to display messages when ceratain conditions are met. The type of formula that is neede for this data that meets specific conditions is called a conditional formula. The conditional formula uses the IF function. To create a conditional formula is very easy first step is to:
  1. click the cell to hold the formula and open the insert functiondialog box.
  2. From within the dialog box, select the IF from the list of functions that are available and then click OK.
  3. Now you need for excell to have excell to display messages that indicate (whatever you want it to be) should evaluate the account for a possible rate adjustment.
  4. whenever you put this messages you have to put them in quotation marks.
  5. and press and enter and you are done and just make sure that you type your arguments.

Creating Formulas to Calculate Values

After creating data in a worksheet and define ranges to simplify data references, you can create formulas:
  1. Lets say that you have a worksheet that displays numbers an you need to add a formula to get the total amount first go to the cell where you want the result to be.
  2. Next type an equals sign and that is the first step to create a formula.
  3. Lets say that you need to get an average of a certain range of the worksheet so after the equal signs just type average and then type a parenthesis.
  4. After the parenthesis write the cells that you want the function to calculate.
  5. When you are done typing the cells you want to make sure that you close the Parenthesis.
  6. Press Enter and you are done.
For Example:
=AVERAGE(A1:B4)

Naming Groups Of Data

When you work with large amounts of data it is often useful to identify the groups of cells by naming them. The way you can do it is first to:

  1. Select a range of cells that you want to name and that are related to each other.
  2. Go to the Name box on the left of the formula bar, Type whatever you want to name it.
Editing
  1. Go to the Formulas Tab and in the defined groups click the Name Manager.
  2. A dialog box appears click on the name that you gave it
  3. You can edit the cell range in the Refers to button and after going to the edit click ok.
  4. It closes and it takes you back to the Name Manager dialog box and just click close and you are done.

Test

Marco Lara

1.    The simplest way to enter data is to click on a cell.
2.    The purpose of AutoFill and FillSeries is to make it easier when you need to enter data.
3.    1. Text and Formulas 2.Numbers 3. Days of the week. 4. Dates
4.    A pick from Drop-down list in a spreadsheet is to help you format stuff.
5.    The Paste options button appears on the Home tab on the clipboard group and it is used for pasting data.
6.    To locate specific data on a worksheet is easy there is a quick easy way called the Finding and Replacing Data button. The only thing you have to do is type the word and it will find it for you.
7.    The replace table enables you to replace data or anything that you need to replace.
8.    1.Spelling Checker Button 2.Research 3.Thesaurus
9.    To create data in a table you have to click on a cell that is inside the table then just click format as table and choose the one that you may need.
10.    The purpose of the Total Row in a table is that it creates a formula and calculates the sum of the values in the rightmost table column.

Chapter 6

Entering and Revising data
Entering and Revising data is easy you only have to click on a cell. To fill cells you can use the fill handle and autofill options and fill series.

Series are done when you drag the fill handle. The fill handle will replace contents on the cells based on the one that you started on.

Autocomplete is another technique that you can uss to enter similar values. Also you can pick from Drop down list. Which enables you to chose a value from existing values in a column.

There is also another handy feature that is the autofill options and appears next to the data that you add to a worksheet.

Moving Data Within a Workbook
There is lots of ways to move a cell but there is a quick method by clicking it. It makes the cell active.

There is not a limit on selecting cells you can select a whole column and on the paste options you can move it to another place.

Finding and Replacing Data
It basically tells you that when there is lots of data in a worksheet and you need to find a word or replace words there is a quick process and that is to click the Find and Replace and a dialog box appears and your set to go.

If you want to replace or format a word then you can click the format button and click either replace or replace all.

Correcting and Expanding Upon Worksheet Data
There is a quick way to correct instances of words by using the Spelling checker button to correct words that might be mispelled. Or also you can look fr the meaning of a word.

Also if you want to translate a word to another language you can do so by clicking the translate button on the Proofing group on the review tab.

Defining a Table
You can add tables to a worksheet and also you can display data in it.

Excell 2007 can also create a table based on an existing data list. You just have to select a cell wherever you want to add data.

You can also add rows and columns to a table you can also remove them if you don't want them by dragging the resize handle.

When you add the Total Row, Excell creates a formula and calculates the sum of the values in the rightmost table column. You can also change the table names by clicking any names in the table and then go to the design tab that appears and then in the properties group.

If for any reason you want to convert your table back to normal range cells. You can do so by clicking any cell in the table and then in the design tab in the tools group click the Convert to range.

New Ipad

The new ipad is just like a big Itouch but its better cause its like a touchscreen laptop. There are many features that it has its all good new things that it has because it is touchscreen. This iPad has a big impact, into technology. By seeing things easier and browse better, including the now people have the ways to, have it next to them when they need it, rather then go to a computer or a smart phone. This is my way of saying the new impact to technology, from the iPad.
